MySpace Analysis - Lady GaGa
Lady Gaga (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) is an american singer/songwriter has written many songs for established artists such as Akon, this was before she was signed herself and her singing career took off. When vistors enter Lady Gaga's website, the first thing they can see is the above picture. Already Lady Gaga is promoting her newest album to her fans and audience, the name Lady Gaga is the same size and font was the 'The Fame Monster', I feel that this is because she is now a fully established artist and she does not need to introduce herself to the world anymore. Both pictures on either side of the writing are Lady Gaga and I feel the one on the left shows the audience the 'fame' side to her, as she is very groomed, whereas the one on the right shows us the 'moster' side, where she has messy brunette hair and exagerating eye make up. The whole myspace has a very 'gothic' look to it which is based around the new album 'The Fame Monster', where it has used the colours of black, white and red. She is also trying to promote her official website aswell as her Myspace as it is at the centre of the picture.
Showing at the top of the this photo is an advertisement for Lady Gaga's tour promoting her album, in the corner of the advertisement is the sponsor, who in this case is Virgin Mobile. The fact that Lady Gaga has decided to promote her tour on her Myspace is very clever as she knows that her fans will see the advertisment and instantly click on it. Just underneath the advertisement are the links to the different part of Gaga's site, this lets the fans know a bit more about her as she has included a little biography on her life and career. Some of the other links also allow the fans to download ringtones or wallpapers for their phones or computers. They also have a chance to buy merchandise of Lady Gaga on the store part of the website which will also get more fans to her sites. The pop out player lets fans listen to Gaga's most popular music and her newest music, this allows the fans to preview the music before they actually buy it, which is very respectable of her to do.
